Where are we, Hotel in Rome's historic center

A Hotel in Rome's historic center, the Demetra is located at the heart of the city, close to its main attractions.

Its central position allows guests to easily reach Rome's main tourist areas in a matter of minutes using the subway and public transportation.

The Colosseum, the Santa Maria Maggiore Cathedral, the Baths of Diocletian and the prestigious Opera National Theater are only a few steps away from our structure.


Directions from the Termini Station:

Get to the Demetra Hotel on foot: Get out of the Termini Station, go across Piazza dei Cinquecento, then turn left towards the Museo Nazionale Romano, go straight along it until you arrive to the Demetra Hotel on the left of Via del Viminale #8.


Directios from the Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino):

Get to the Demetra Hotel by train: The railway station is located inside the airport, so it is not necessary to get out of the building. At the Arrivals area, follow the instructions towards the train station (with the FS symbol). There is a train every 30 minutes. The first train of the day departs at 06:37 am and the last one is at 11:37 pm. It is possible to buy your train tickets at the tobaccoist near the platforms or using the dispensing machines (self-service). Please remember to punch your ticket at the validation machines at the beginning of the platforms before getting on board. Afterwards follow the instructions mentioned in the preceding paragraph in order to arrive to the Demetra Hotel.


Getting to the Demetra Hotel with Terravision low-cost bus service:

Notorious company Terravision offers a transfer service from the airport to the Termini train station. It is possible to buy tickets online at its website.


Getting to the Demetra Hotel by car:

Leave the airport following the instructions to go towards Rome. Take the exit that reads 'Cristoforo Colombo - Roma Centro'. Go straight until getting to Piazza San Giovanni at Laterano, then take Via Merulana until getting to the Santa Maria Maggiore Church, follow the directions to go to the Termini Station and keep going until Piazza della Repubblica, go around the square and take the Via Terme di Diocleziano until the end of the road, you will find the Demetra Hotel at Via del Viminale number 8.


IMPORTANT:
The ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) at the historic district restricts car circulation during the following hours:

6.30 - 18.00, monday through friday
14.00 - 18.00 saturday

From december 17th to 22nd and the 24th, the ZTL is active from 6.30 to 20.00
The ZTL is operative during the following holidays, sunday december 16th, sunday december 23rd, and january 6th from 14.00 - 18.00.
During the aforementioned schedules it is strictly forbiden to pass over the active passageways within the zone of the Demetra Hotel, specially in Via Torino in order to avoid administrative sanctions such as fines against offenders.

Diractions from the Ciampino Airport:

Get to the Demetra Hotel by bus: Cotral bus services towards the Anagnina subway station, just outside the airport's Hall. It takes you to the Anagnina "A" Line, where you can then take the subway to the Termini Station. The first bus leaves at 6:50 (7:50 on sundays and holidays) and the last one at 22:40 (22:00 on sundays and holidays). It is possible to buy the tickets on board. Bus trip lasts about 40 - 50 minutes.


Getting to the Demetra Hotel with Terravision low-cost bus service:

Terravision offers transfer services from Ciampino Airport to the Termini Station. It is possible to buy tickets at its company website.


Getting to the Demetra Hotel by car:

Take the Via Appia exit from the airport bound for the city center, take the exit 13 (Tiburtina). Go straight until the end of the road. Once in Piazzale del Verano you most take Via C. De Lollis. Once you reach the arches, pass accross them and go right towards Viale Castro Pretorio. Then go left in Via San Martino della Battaglia and continue straight until Piazza della Repubblica, go around it until getting to Via Terme di Diocleziano, by the end of the road you will on your right the Demetra Hotel at Via del Viminale number 8.
